About Sebastian Bretnall

Sebastian studied History (BA) at the University of Nottingham, where he received a first-class degree with honours. He went on to be awarded distinction in the Graduate Diploma in Law and later the LPC LLM by Nottingham Law School.

He joined Wilsons in 2022 and is accredited as a Trainee Casework Assistant under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme.

He has previously worked in the charity sector, in organisations supporting refugees and asylum seekers. In 2020-21, he established and led a successful project to support and advise those housed in initial accommodation sites in Nottingham. He went on to lead a partnership network which aimed to address the gaps and issues in the provision of immigration and asylum advice across the East Midlands. On a voluntary basis he has visited people held in Morton Hall IRC to provide emotional and practical support.
