About Philippa Quested

Philippa is an associate solicitor and IAAS Supervising Senior Caseworker in the Immigration Department. She joined Wilsons as a caseworker in 2018 and qualified as a solicitor in 2021.

Philippa practices a range of immigration law, including asylum and human rights cases, rules-based applications for leave to enter or remain, family migration applications outside the rules, settlement and nationality applications. She advises both private and legally aided clients.

She has extensive experience preparing complex asylum and human rights appeals in the First-tier and Upper Tribunals, including for clients facing deportation. She regularly works on judicial review matters.

Philippa has worked on claims for Afghan nationals being considered under the ARAP (Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy) scheme, and with a group of solicitors representing asylum seekers on the British Indian Ocean Territory. She assists clients with applications for British Citizenship, and has experience challenging refusals on good character grounds.

Before joining Wilson Solicitors, Philippa worked as an immigration caseworker at Turpin & Miller Solicitors. She also volunteered at the Rights in Exile Programme, an organisation which promotes the provision of legal aid to refugees worldwide. Philippa completed the Legal Practice at BPP Law School in 2021, achieving a distinction. She holds a first-class honours degree in Geography from the University of Leeds.
