About Jonah Mendelsohn

Jonah Mendelsohn is a solicitor in the Public Law and Human Rights team at Wilson Solicitors LLP, having joined the firm in April 2025. His work primarily focuses on public law and human rights issues, advising clients on complex to administrative law, judicial review, and challenges against unlawful actions of public bodies. He has acted in several successful judicial reviews relating to the GPS tracking of migrants by the Home Office. He also has experience in acting in civil claims for damages against public bodies. Jonah is particularly interested in challenging invasive deployments of technology by immigration authorities through the intersection of data protection, public law and human rights law.

Before joining Wilsons, Jonah worked as a legal officer at the NGO, Privacy International, for 2 years where he worked on legal advocacy and litigation challenging surveillance and other intrusive uses of technology by both governments and corporations. Previously he trained and qualified as solicitor at Duncan Lewis where he worked for 4 years. He has a history degree from the University of Cambridge, a law degree from Queen Mary, University of London and a masters in European Union Law at Paris II Université Panthéon Assas.
