About Jaanuja Rajendran
Jaanuja joined Wilsons in January 2022 as an immigration caseworker and became accredited as a Senior Caseworker under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum accreditation scheme in August 2022.
Jaanuja graduated from Queen Mary University in 2020 with an English Literature degree. Her final year research focused on the representation of refugees in postcolonial literature with a specific focus on texts from Afghanistan and Sri Lanka.
Prior to joining Wilsons, she worked in the non-profit sector at Moorfields Eye Charity with a strong passion in addressing the various inequalities faced by ethnic minority communities in healthcare. Jaanuja volunteered for COVID19 Infographics during the pandemic providing infographics to address misinformation in minority communities about the pandemic. She has also participated the Patchwork Foundation meeting politicians and entrepreneurs from across the UK discussing issues including the need for more accessibility into sectors like law and politics.
Jaanuja has an active asylum and human rights caseload and undertakes both legally aided and privately funded work.
