About Isabelle Cooper
Isa joined Wilsons as an immigration caseworker in 2022 and qualified as a solicitor in April 2025. She advises on first-time asylum applications and is developing a practice in asylum appeals, judicial review and challenging unlawful detention.
Isa graduated with a BA (Hons) Geography from the University of Oxford in 2019. Following her graduation, she spent three years volunteering in Greece with Lighthouse Relief , Khora Asylum Support Team and remotely for Haringey Migrant Support Centre and Protect . Alongside her volunteering, Isa has worked as a private immigration paralegal focusing on Appendix FM applications.
As well as client-facing work, Isa has held a research role with Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organisation’ , supported with an investigative journalism article by OpenDemocracy and drafted an NHS England report exploring how hospices could better support carers with NRPF.
Interests : Climbing and cycling.
