In 1989, Andrew Wilson founded Wilson and Co Solicitors from a small office in Tottenham. His aim was to offer excellent legal services to the whole community. We have grown since then into larger offices and over 100 staff, but we still have this goal.
Soon after setting up the firm Andrew went into partnership with Michael Hanley. Together they built up the firm employing many of the staff and partners of today.
They put our clients at the heart of everything we do. They built a reputation for integrity, independence and tenacity, especially with the most challenging cases.
They encouraged solicitors to specialise in one area of law and the firm became a centre of excellence and expertise in it’s core areas of immigration, family, crime, public law and human rights. Sadly Andrew passed away in 2001 but his memory and belief in justice for all lives on.
Today Wilsons is a limited liability partnership with 21 partners. We specialise in immigration, family and public law, including human rights.
We are still firmly rooted in Tottenham, one of the most diverse communities in London. We also have a central London office near Chancery Lane, and we have recently opened an office in Manchester to better serve clients nationwide.
Our mission is still justice for all. We act for people whose safety, families and futures are at stake, and we challenge public bodies when their decisions are unfair or unlawful. We are proud of the diversity of our team, and we run work-experience schemes for people from under-represented backgrounds.
