Our values

Justice for all starts with the client in front of us. Whatever the matter and whoever is paying for it, you get the same thing: a lawyer who knows the law inside out, who tells you straight where you stand, and who does not let go. Much of our work is for clients who choose and pay for us privately. They come to us — and send others to us — because we are good at difficult cases.

Excellence. In everything we do. An excellent standard of client service: calls returned, advice you can act on, no jargon, no surprises on cost. Excellence as lawyers — our teams are ranked by the Legal 500 and Chambers, and our partners are among the most experienced in their fields. And excellence in how we support our staff, because good lawyers stay where they are looked after.

Justice. For every one of our clients. Getting the right outcome for the person we act for, and playing our part in a justice system that matters to everyone in a democratic society.

Courage. To take on the case that is difficult, complicated or unpopular, and to see it through. Clients come to us with the problems other firms have turned down.

We are an organisation of over 100 people, and our staff are our greatest asset. They share these values, and the reputation we have built for the quality of our work rests on them.

We continue to run a legal aid practice alongside our substantial private client work. The same lawyers act in both. Clients who instruct us privately get lawyers whose judgement has been tested in some of the hardest cases in the country.

We are based in Tottenham and we believe in the place. We support local charities and schools, run work-experience schemes for people from under-represented backgrounds, take part in pro bono advice schemes, and raise money each year through the London Legal Walk.
